General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope
These general terms and conditions apply to all services (behavioral training, employment, care) offered and provided by Janice Köpps via the website www.hundeberatung.com.
Janice Köpps is officially recognized as a dog trainer according to Section 11 Paragraph 1 Numbers 8a and 8f of the Animal Welfare Act (TierSchG) and runs a registered business based in Hamburg.
2. Conclusion of contract
A contract is concluded when the customer accepts an offer (e.g., by email or booking via the website) and an appointment confirmation is received from Janice Köpps. By booking, the customer accepts these Terms and Conditions.
3. Services
The services offered include behavioral training, activity programs, and individual dog care. The content, scope, and duration depend on the booked package.
A mandatory initial consultation of approximately 90 minutes is required for behavioral training.
4. Prices and payment
The prices valid at the time of booking, as stated on the website or in the offer, apply. Payment is generally made by bank transfer or cash, unless otherwise agreed. Invoices are due within 7 days of receipt without deductions.
5. Appointment cancellations
Appointment cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Cancellations made at shorter notice or no-shows will be charged the full amount.
If an appointment is cancelled by the trainer, an alternative date will be offered or any payments already made will be refunded.
6. Conditions of participation / liability
The customer agrees to inform the owner in advance of any health or behavioral issues related to the dog. The owner is liable for any damage caused by the dog within the framework of the legal regulations. Valid liability insurance for the dog is a prerequisite for participation.
Janice Kopps is not liable for damages resulting from improper handling of the content by the owner.
7. Support
For dog care services, the dog must be dropped off and picked up on time at the agreed time. Sick dogs are not eligible for care. Care will only be provided after a prior meeting.
8. Copyright / Use of photo and video recordings
Photo or video recordings taken during the work may be used for public relations purposes (e.g. website, social media) with the prior consent of the owner.
The content taught in the training (methods, worksheets, etc.) may not be passed on or used commercially without consent.
9. Data protection
Personal data is processed exclusively for the purpose of providing the services offered and in accordance with the data protection regulations. Further information can be found in the privacy policy on this website.
10. Final provisions
Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. German law shall apply. The place of jurisdiction is Hamburg, to the extent permitted by law.
